THERMOMEMORIA Archwires
Temperature-sensitive nickel titanium: bendable at room temperature, returning to its programmed shape at 37 °C in the mouth.

An innovation in nickel titanium alloy archwires. According to room or body temperature, these archwires behave differently.
At room temperature they can be permanently bent with a plier. After insertion, at mouth temperature of about 37 °C, they revert to their initial programmed shape, providing gentle and continuous forces to the teeth.
That particular feature makes insertion into misaligned bracket slots easier and reduces patient trauma, while permitting the use of rectangular wires during early treatment and gaining good torque control of roots during tooth movement.
The STEP SYSTEM 2.0 kit (C6100-13) contains 13 archwires — 7 upper and 6 lower — sufficient for one case. Each archwire is individually packaged, and each package is identified with a reference number and a tooth sketch indicating the standard application sequence and the archwire function.
