Standard preformed archwires are made of extra spring hard wire for higher resiliency, and are marked at the midline \u2014 black for upper, red for lower \u2014 so the arch can be centred without measuring. Supplied in packs of 10.
Preformed selection archwires are extra spring hard, round or rectangular, diamond drawn for levelling of surfaces. Available in small, medium and large shape, both upper and lower. The C5950-00 archwire selector is laid on the model to find the right shape for the case before opening a pack.
