Palatal expanders
Rapid Expander with Orthogonal Arms A0631
The anatomical solution for severe contraction: a small body with orthogonally arranged bending arms.
A0631
The Leone anatomical expander is the ideal solution for patients who need orthopaedic maxillary expansion, because it allows the manufacture of devices with limited dimensions, maximum stability, comfort and safety. The small size of the body and the orthogonal arrangement of the bending arms allow optimal positioning of the expander even in severe contraction, and favour biomechanical control of the expansion.
The arms sit within a through-hole in the body and external laser welding makes them an integral part of the expander, which is what ensures maximum safety and comfort for the patient. A special slot on the guide pins lets the head of the male screw keep the guides centred throughout treatment, ensuring symmetrical, stable expansion and minimising the chance of spontaneous deactivation. Compared with the previous version, the outer position of the arms inside the bodies further reduces overall size and makes the expander easier for the technician to adapt.
